About Santa Edson
Santa Edson and Mrs. Claus have made Edson, Alberta their year-round home and Santa Edson has decided to bring the joy of Christmas and the magic of Santa Claus to residents on a continual basis.
Santa Edson is 61 years of age and has been married to Mrs. Claus for 37 years. They have one son who lives in Finland with his family of wife, 4 daughters and one son. On several visits Santa Edson and Mrs. Claus have visited Joulupukki, 
the Finnish Santa Claus who lives on the Arctic Circle in Korvatunturi

A former radio news broadcaster and a municipal politician of 15 years (1992-2007) Santa Edson knows the area well and has seen many boys and girls grow up to be fine examples of community citizens. The Grande Alberta Economic Region is rural municipalities, villages and towns in west central Alberta working together to promote unique, diverse opportunities.

The Grande Alberta Economic Region stretches from Onoway on the east, to Grande Cache and Jasper National Park on the west. It extends 60 kilometres south of Highway 16 and 20 kilometres north of Highway 43.
